Q: What is the cost of the recovery?

A: The cost of the recovery depends on several factors. Normally the cost is based on the difficulty of the recovery. It will also depend on whether it is a single hard drive or multiple hard drive scenario such as a RAID/NAS. Q: Does recovery void my hard drive warranty?

A: No. Hard drive manufactures will still honor your warranty if the drive was in need of data recovery.


Q: I see data recovery software on the Internet. Should I use it?

A: The data recovery software that you see on the internet all assume that the hard drive is fully functional. Using recovery on a failing drive will just make matters worse and often times make it so it is impossible to recover you data.


Q: How is my data returned to me?

A: This depends on how much data is recovered. Typically it will be written to a new external hard drive or USB flash drive, that can be provided by us for an additional charge, or the media of your choice that is provided by you for no additional charge.
